Re-cycling something precious

A friend discovered moths had munched through a favourite jumper. What could I do? I washed it and carefully cut out the teddies and appliqued them on to large red bath sheets along with their names in tartan.

What do you think?

Alex's towels with teddies

These will be used for years to come and it is a fun way to re-cycle.

I would love to use this idea for sewing those precious items from childhood on to a towel which will be used every day.

I am so thrilled with my towels and I am so pleased that I saved the bears off my beautiful jumper. I would highly recommend anyone reading this blog, that they think before they throw anything away. Is there something that you could save for prosterity?

The towels look amazing! What a fantastic idea….I am hoping you can work the same magic on one of my daughters little baby outfits. Its a wonderful idea, to combine lovely memories with something beautiful and practical
