I feel passionate about sewing. I have always made my clothes and when my daughter was born 18 years ago, I appliqued fabric letters on to quality towels for my friends. My hobby grew until the family decided I should take it further.
Jane Hamerton Ltd was established May 2009. When the website is ready we will sell high quality Egyptian cotton towels for new borns and presents for birthdays, christenings, weddings and just because. We have lots of ideas to personalise other products.
I would love to push to get sewing skills back on to the school curriculum. Par Excellence Magazine has published The Story Of Jane Hamerton Limited – Personalised Towels and Gifts.
I love tennis, gardening, cooking, anything cultural and any excuse to organise social events.
I work for the Pioneer Sailing Trust. The project has been so successful we are now helping young people gain apprenticeships in boatbuilding skills.
